Let's take a walk around the penthouse
to get familiar with it. We start in the
hotel's tranquil garden. Here we find
two different sets of staircases to get
to the entrances of the penthouse. The
entrances to the penthouse are located
on the second floor (3rd for US people)
of the hotel. We'll take the front
staircase to get to the main entrance.
When you open the front door you'll find
yourself on a large terrace with a big
(dining) table that seats up to 10
people comfortably, a couch and, a
necessity in Mexico, a relaxing hammock.
There are several doors that lead from
this terrace into the Penthouse. The
first door on your left leads you to the
large kitchen that is fully equipped
with a 4-burner gas stove with oven, a
large refrigerator, electric
coffeemaker, espresso and cappuccino
maker, toaster and all cutlery, utensils
and plates you might need for your
group. From the kitchen you can step out
onto a small terrace, furnished with a
table and some chairs, where you might
want to enjoy your breakfast in the
morning.
A passage on the other side of the
kitchen leads you to a large bathroom on
the left, equipped with toilet, shower
and bath, talavera sinks with brass
faucets, all beautifully decorated in
Mexican tile.
Continuing on the same passageway you
walk into the spacious living room where
two large couches and a comfortable
chair give you room to relax and maybe
watch some cable TV on a 29" television
with a variety of English and Spanish
channels to choose from, like CNN, MTV,
ESPN, FOX, AZTECA, MUNDO, etc. And, if
you'd like to listen to your own choice
of music, don't forget to bring your
favorite CDs to play on the penthouse CD
player.
Past the living room you'll find the
first bedroom on the right. This bedroom
has a single and a double bed, a Mexican
tile bathroom with toilet and shower,
optional AC and its own exit staircase
leading to the hotel's garden. This room
can be "locked off" should you require a
smaller penthouse during your stay.
Before reaching this bedroom you can
also take the stairs to the left.
Halfway up these stairs split in two. If
you take the right turn you'll end up in
the second bedroom. This bedroom has a
double bed and an exit to the 2nd floor
terrace.
Going back to the stairs and taking the
left turn will lead you to another,
second floor, bedroom. Here you might
want to step out on the balcony and take
a moment to enjoy the spectacular view
of the Caribbean Sea as well as the
refreshing Caribbean breeze and you'll
realize that the architectural design of
the penthouse is not only beautiful but
that it also ensures that this
refreshing breeze can pass through the
house assisted by the ( ceiling ) fans
which you'll find throughout the house.
Aside from the ocean view balcony, this
bedroom has a private bathroom with
toilet and shower, cable TV and a huge
king size bed. At the far end of the
room we find a sofa that can be turned
into a single bed, depending on the size
and composition of your party.
Continuing on from this room we walk to
another terrace, equipped with a couch
and comfortable chairs to lounge in with
a cool drink at night or during those
long siestas. The stairs leading from
this terrace take you to the last part
of our penthouse: the ocean-view
rooftop. Lean back and relax while
enjoying the view of the turquoise blue
ocean, the breeze in your hair and the
sun on your face.
