Uxmal, Mayan Ruins and Civilization. UNESCO World Heritage
Site.
Uxmal is 78 kilometers south of Merida in the state of Yucatan, Mexico. It is
estimated that most of the architecture was built between 700 and 1100. It had a
population of 25,000 people.
Entrance fees $95 pesos about $9 dollars kids under 13 years are free, hours of
operation 8am to 5pm.
Sound and light show cost $30 pesos or $3 dollars. In the winter it starts at
7pm and in the summer it starts at 8pm.
If you want a guide to take you around the site of Uxmal the cost in 2007 was of
$450 pesos or $40 US Dollars. If you want to do a video on the site the cost is
$3 dollars.
