 Isla
Mujeres is located just 8 miles from the main land
near Cancun. It only takes 15 minutes by ferry and only
costs about $3 USD. Isla Mujeres is only 5 miles long
and 1/2 mile wide as you can see by the aerial photos of
Isla Mujeres. This is the perfect location to get away
from the hustle of every day life. Even I come here when
I want to get out of Playa del Carmen (sure feel sorry
for me). The waters of the
Caribbean that surround Isla Mujeres are of the most
amazing shades of blue and greens you will see. Isla
Mujeres is a fishing village and
though it is now discovered by tourists it still retains
it's charm and tranquil atmosphere.
This is a place to relax have a drink while watching the
sunset.
 Yes the sunset are beautiful specially if you go
to North Beach. On this
beach you will find a few restaurants and great service
at Na Balam a little pricy but great place to see the
sunset. You can walk in the
water at North Beach for what feels like a mile before
it becomes deed.
Their is 2 main streets were you will find the majority
of the shops and restaurants. They are hard to miss,
when you get off the ferry walk
strait until you get to the main square and turn left.
This will also take you to North Beach.
You can go to isla also as a day trip from Cancun, Playa
del Carmen or even Tulum. The last ferry from Isla
Mujeres to Cancun is at 1am and
the first one is at 5:30am. They run every 30 minutes.
If you want to visit the entire Island you can take a
taxi or the more fun way of doing it is by renting a
golf car or moped.
Their is one main bank open 8:30am to 6:00pm Monday to
Friday and 9:00 am to 2:00 PM on Saturday. A word of
caution, ATM's have a tendency of
running out of money on weekends and if you exchange
traveler checks at the bank make sure to bring your
passport.
 There is only one small archaeological site in Isla
Mujeres. This small construction is dedicated to Ixchel,
the goddess of love and
fertility, its unique location its worth to pay a visit
to the area.

cost 35 pesos each way (approximately $3 usd). You will
not get a discount if you buy 2 way ticket.
They start leaving Puerto Juarez to go to Isla Mujeres
at 5:30am every 30 minutes until 12:30am. The ride
takes 15 minutes.

(approximately $3USD).

Our transfer services can be reserved as
one way trip to or from airport and as round trip.
There is a minimum two person charge. Please reserve 3
days in advance.
Please note that for Cancun airport shuttles have a 2
person minimum policy. Even if you are traveling
alone you are better off paying for 2.
The cost is $9 dollars one way and $17
dollars 2 way trip.
As of May 26 2015 taxi were costing
anywhere from $30 to $40 dollars from the airport.
