 My
name is Francesco. I have live in Playa del Carmen since
2000. I am involved in a dive shop
(Sealife Divers and
www.divingplayadelcarmen.com ) this occurred after leaving my job as a
stock broker in Vancouver Canada were I lived for 10
years or so. Before that I lived in Toronto Canada
and just before that in Caracas Venezuela for 12 years
and I was born in Milano, Italy and lived the first 6
years of my life.I came here to Playa del Carmen
because I needed some sunshine after the rain of
Vancouver (nothing against Vancouver its a beautiful city
just to much rain). Of course I thought I would only spend
1 year here and I am still counting. I went diving
in one of these caverns or also known as cenotes and I
just fell in love with them that's what made me get
involve with Sealife Divers and become a scuba diving
instructor.
I also love the fact that people here are from all
over even though some times you think you are in Italy.
I have meat allot of interesting people in Playa del
Carmen which I can call home now. This web site
grew from a growing need of my friends vacation plans,
they always asked me what can I do? were can I stay? etc
so now I just say go and look at

I am also involved with helping animals in our area.
In Mexico there is an overpopulation problem to say the
least! Most cats and dogs are homeless and unhealthy. We
capture wild cats (and some dogs), Spay and Neuter them
and care for them during the recovery process then
release them back into their home ground. This is the
only humane way to treat the problem. We have an
American vet (Michele) who has volunteered her skills
for free and a local vet who grants us use of her clinic
for sterile surgeries. We raise money whenever we can to
buy the supplies needed for the surgeries. Someday, we
hope to afford more supplies to care for the injured and
sick as well as vaccines for the street animals we
capture. We have also helped some of the locals that
could not afford to pay for the surgery or care.
And because I have so much time on my hands I also
volunteer for the fire department and Civil Protection.
So during hurricane season you will find our group
running around helping were help is needed.
Anyways that should be enough about me, hope you come
to vacation in beautiful Playa del Carmen and all that

I'm a web designer and I start working in Playa del
Carmen creating web pages for hotels, tours, and Italian
travel guides to promote the tourism in Riviera Maya. I
used to work for different advertising agency in Turin,
Italy, but the love for travel and the passion for
different cultures made me take the decision to move to
Mexico.
I quit my job and after 1 month I moved to Playa del
Carmen. I never have been in Playa del Carmen before,
but when I arrived here I felt in love with this place.
The beautiful beaches of Riviera Maya, the ocean breeze,
the multicultural atmosphere, the activities that Playa
del Carmen offers and of course this job. I love to be
in contact with people from all over the world, helping
everyone organizing their holiday in Playa del Carmen,
Riviera Maya.
Then I met Francesco. Another web designer in Playa del
Carmen.
He's a traveler like me. Our priority in life is to
explore new places and spend the time on the road around
the world.
When we have time (usually during low season) we take
our backpack and we leave for new adventures.
